Conduct experiments to evaluate
breeding lines related with molecular marker application platform and manage
researchers/technicians/workers conducting phenotyping and screening.
DUTIES
1. Design and conduct experiments
for molecular marker application targeting abiotic and biotic stress tolerance
and some important agronomic traits.
2. Be responsible to maintain
seeds and plant materials healthy and coordinate phenotype data recording from
different groups to be centralized.
3. Assist molecular breeder and
marker specialist to establish the molecular breeding platform.
4. Provide solution to technical
problems and issues affecting operation of the greenhouse/field testing and
recommend to the supervisor.
5. Prepare/write reports,
interpretation, and presentation based on data analysis, and serve as a
resource person in molecular breeding workshop and the related training
programs.
6. Performs other related duties
as maybe assigned from time to time by the supervising IRS
QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS:
•Masters degree, Plant Breeding,
Genetics, Agronomy
•Minimum 3 years
•Experience in greenhouse/field
experiences, molecular techniques and statistics. Excellent in oral and written
communication skills and computer skills, e.g. MS Office and basic statistics
softwares (CropStat, Minitab, etc).
•Good membership, time
management, and hard work
Screening will start on 26 April
