Walk-in for Lab Technician at NIV, Bangalore

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Applications are invited for the following vacancy purely on temporary basis renewable annually under Non-Institutional adhoc project at NIV, Bangalore Unit in Polio Surveillance Project of WHO-NPSP to be filled in through Walk-in-Interview as indicated below:
ON DATE: 24-02-2012 Registration & scrutiny from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs and personal interview from 14.00 hours onwards on same day.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN-C – 02 VACANCIES
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
S.S.L.C/Matric/S.S.C. with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology as science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with one year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) and eight years experience in a Govt. Recognized Organization/Institute/Medical College.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:
PUC (Science)/HSC/Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board with Science subjects with one year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) with six years laboratory experience.
OR
 B.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology with three years laboratory experience
 OR
M.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology with one year work experience in diagnostic laboratory / Cell Culture / ELISA / PCR / Computer applications.
AGE LIMIT: Below 28 years
SALARY: Consolidated Salary: Rs.19,500/- P.M. (fixed)
1. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per Govt. of India norms.
2. Qualification & experience should be from an organization of repute.
3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee for the selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. Initial appointment will be upto 31-12-12 with annual renewal subject to satisfactory working.
6. Selected candidates will not have any claim for regular appointment in ICMR-NIV/WHONPSP/GoI.
7. Salary & extension of posts is subject to the renewal of funding and continuation of the Project as per requirement of the WHO-NPSP.
Candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview must bring Bio-data along with all original academic certificates and one set of attested photocopies of the same and one passport size recent colour photograph. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.
