“Functional significance of Potyviral Hc-Pro interaction with host and vector factors” DST funded Indo-Spanish bilateral programme

Ph.D. degree or M.Sc. with three years research experience in Biochemistry/Plant Pathology / Biotechnology or a related field.
Job requirement include study of the interaction of viral RNAi suppressor protein Hc-Pro and proteins involved in plants’ RNAi machinery with the overall goal to establish the host – viral interaction. Research will include Cloning, mutation work, protein and gene expression and bioinformatics analysis. Host-viral interaction studies include yeast two hybrid system, YFP and GFP vector based techniques.
i) Publications in the desired field of research
ii) Experience in handling softwares involved in Life Sciences research.

1. Age maximum 40 years for RA & 35 for SRF on the date of advertisement, relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/women and 3 years for OBC candidates.
2. The positions are purely temporary and shall be terminated on termination of the project.
