Project Fellow posts(Biotechnology) at NIT, Karnataka

NOTIFICATION
Sub: Recruitment of Project Fellows - R&D Project “MODELLING OF AIRBORNE DUST IN OPENCAST MINES” – sanctioned by Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India.
Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India, sanctioned a Research Project on the said subject with a funding of Rs. 77.04 Lakhs. There is provision for recruiting two (2) Project Associates in this Research Project for a duration of 3 years. The Project Associates with Masters Degree can register for Ph.D simultaneously at NITK, Surathkal.
A consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 20,000/- for I year, Rs. 21,000/- for II year and Rs. 22,000/- for III year will be paid to candidates with ME/M.Tech Qualification and Rs. 18,000/-, Rs. 19,000/= and Rs. 20,000/= for I, II and III years for candidates with BE/B.Tech/M.Sc qualification.
Desirable Qualifications for the post of Project Associate are as follows:
1. M.Tech/ME in Mining Engineering / Civil Engineering / Applied Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering/Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering/Environmental Engineering / Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering.
2. BE/B.Tech in Mining Engineering/ Civil Engineering / Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Chemical Engineering.
3. M.Sc in Geophysics/Geology/Applied Geology/Physics/Mathematics.

Last date for the submission of Applications complete in all respects to the Principal Investigator is March 05, 2012. Interview for the same will be held on March 07, 2012 at 10.00AM in Board Room of the Institute.
