Position for Junior Research Fellow
(DBT sponsored project)
Applications are invited from citizens of India for filling up the following temporary positions for a sponsored research project in the field of neurobiology undertaken in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER-Kolkata.
The position is for Junior Research Fellow. Applicants enthusiastic about research in the field of neuroscience/neurobiology and are encouraged to apply. The requisite qualification & experience for the positions are given below.
PROJECT NAME AND AGENCY: Department of Biotechnology sponsored project titled “Understanding the mechanisms of viral induced Axonal loss and demyelination in an experimental animal model”
POSITION 1: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY: M.Sc. in any branch of life sciences with minimum of 65% marks in Post Graduation will be considered.
DESIRABLE:
 Candidates qualifying NET JRF/SLET/DBT JRF/GATE or M Phil and
 Candidates with experience in handling animal (mice), trained in histopathology, proficient in statistical analysis and with genetics would be preferred at the most.
SALARY: As per DBT norms.
Last Date for the receipt of the application is 31st January 2012. Applications enclosing along with attested copies of all testimonials / certificates and curriculum vitae should be sent to dassarmaj@iiserkol.ac.in . The applications must reach the office of the undersigned on and before 31st January 2012.
Shortlisted candidates would be called for an interview in February 2012 at IISER, Kolkata. All candidates are requested to bring all the original documents at the time of interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
