Career Opportunities in Data-Intensive Discovery Research






The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), a newly created institution in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi, is looking for innovative faculty members working in the domains of data-intensive scientific discovery to develop novel research and teaching programmes in the area of biotech science. The RCB recognizes that the expertise and innovation in the core domains of systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics and other branches of theoretical biology and analyses of clinical/epidemiological/biodiversity data is critical for the development of novel perspectives in biotechnology, and invites scientists with interdisciplinary profiles of the highest caliber and credibility to participate in this shared adventure to transform the biotech sciences.
Faculty appointments will be offered from entry to program coordinator levels depending on the quantum of experience and the quality of scientific productivity. Investigators will be provided shared work space and adequate start-up resources. They are expected to generate eventual extramural project-based funding. Interim laboratories of RCB are presently located in Gurgaon, neighboring the South Delhi area, which has adequate housing, transportation and schooling facilities. The permanent laboratories will come up within the Health Biotech Science Cluster (HBSC) at Faridabad over the next three years.
