DETAILS OF POSTS:
PROGRAMME COORDINATOR
SCALE OF PAY: PB-1, ‘15,600-39,100 plus AGP ‘8,000/- With usual DA and other allowances as applicable under OUAT Rules.
AGE: Maximum 45 years as on 01.01.2011 There is no age bar for OUAT in service candidates
QUALIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL (i) Minimum 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture /Horticulture / Agril. Engineering & Technology/ B.V.Sc & AH / Fishery Science/ Home Science / Forestry with atleast 55% marks.
(ii) Minimum 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Agronomy /Horticulture/ Entomology / Plant Pathology/ Nematology/Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Soil Science & Agril. Chemistry/ Agril. Extension/ Agril. Engineering and Technology/ Animal Science/ Fishery Science/ Home
Science/ Forestry with atleast 55% marks.
(iii) Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject { At Sl. No. 5 (ii) } including relevant basic science.
(iv) 05 (five) years experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining in Ph.D. Degree during service subject to a maximum period of 03 years) as Scientist / Assistant
Professor/ Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay scale of Rs.8,000-275-13,500/- (Pre-revised).
(v) Significant contribution to research/ teaching/ extension education as supported by published works/ innovations
DESIRABLE : Specialization in implementing extension education programmes.
SUBJECT MATTER SPECIALIST:
SCALE OF PAY: PB-1, ‘15,600-39,100 plus AGP ‘6,000/- With usual DA and other allowances as applicable under OUAT Rules.
AGE: Maximum 40 years as on 01.01.2011
(Relaxation of 05 years will be provided for SC / ST / SEBC and Women category candidates)

QUALIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL (i) Minimum 2nd Class Bachelor.s Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture Agril. Engineering with atleast 55% marks or equivalent grade point.
(ii) Minimum 2nd Class Master.s Degree in Agronomy / Horticulture /Agril. Extension / Entomology / Nematology/ Plant Pathology /Soil Sc. and Agril. Chemistry / Agril. Engineering and Technology
with atleast 55% marks or equivalent grade point.
(iii) Must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET)
(Relaxation of NET is made in respect of in-service candidates in the cadre of Research Asst./ equivalent under this University)
DESIRABLE: 02 years experience in KVK.
FARM MANAGER
SCALE OF PAY: PB-2, ‘9,300-34,800 /- plus with GP ‘4,200/-With usual DA and other allowances as applicable under OUAT Rules.
(4) AGE: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 32 years as on 01.01.2011
(Relaxation of 05 years will be provided for SC / ST / SEBC and Women category candidates)
There is no age bar for OUAT in service candidates
(5) QUALIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture with minimum of 55% marks
Master’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture with minimum of 55% marks
The prescribed application form, information sheet, details of qualification, scale of pay,experience, other required conditions in respect of each post, general information and instruction to the candidate can be downloaded from University website : ouat.ac.in. The application form complete in all respect alongwith attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets of all examination passed, experience certificate if any, and research publications alongwith a Bank Draft worth ‘400/- (Rupees four hundred) only for the post of Programme Coordinator; ‘300/- (Rupees three hundred) only for the post of Subject Matter Specialist and ‘200/- (Rupees two hundred) only for the post of Farm Manager drawn in favour of Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar payable at State Bank of India, OUAT Campus Branch, Bhubaneswar-751 003 sent by Registered post latest by 9th January, 2012 and it should address to the Registrar, OUAT, Bhubaneswar-751 003, Odisha. Application received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University shall not be held responsible for any loss or delay in postal transaction. In complete application shall be summarily rejected.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(1) The services will be co-terminus with the funding of ICAR.
(2) Any terminal benefits shall not be allowed as per ICAR norms.
Male candidates may apply for the posts reserved for Woman candidates as in case of non-availability of woman candidates, the same will be filled up by the male candidates.
* In case of non-availability of PH/SP/Ex-S.M. Candidates under un-reserved category, the same may be filled up by the un-reserved category candidates.
Candidates are advised to quote the Advertisement Number and date in the top of the application form.
Essential qualification and experience shall be considered in respect of different posts advertised as on the last date of submission of application form.

In service candidate shall apply through proper channel. He/She has to submit advance copy of original application to avoid delay. He/She should produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ from his/her employer at the time of interview, failing which his/her candidature will not be considered.
Applicants should be prepared to appear interview at Bhubaneswar at their own cost. The University reserves right to cancel the interview, if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances or may not fill up the required number of posts so advertised.
