WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview on 15th November, 2011 between 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. for the temporary posts of RA, SRF, JRF, Technical Help & Technical Person to work under the ad-hoc research projects sanctioned to Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
1.ICAR-IRRI project on “Stress-tolerant rice for Africa and South Asia (STRASA)Phase-2: Duration: 9 months (likely to be extended):
POST: Technical Help (1 post):
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (EQ):B.Sc,(Ag) / B.Sc. in biological sciences from recognized University. One year experience in field/laboratory work.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/- p.m.(fixed).
2.ICAR network project “Identification and fine mapping of brown plant hopper resistance genes/QTLs in rice”: Duration: 1 year (likely to be extended):
POST: Technical Help (1 post)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS(EQ):B.Sc,(Ag) / B.Sc. in biological sciences from recognized University.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience in field/laboratory work. Experience in molecular biology techniques and knowledge in bioinformatics.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/- p.m.(fixed).
3. Network project on “Development of New Plant Type varieties with higher yield and inbuilt resistance to major pest and disease”. Duration: 1 year & extendable further.
POST: Technical Help (2 posts)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (EQ):B.Sc, (Ag) / B.Sc. in biological sciences.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Working experience with agricultural crop in any agricultural research organization.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/- p.m.(fixed).
4.DBTs Functional Genomics of Rice Phase-II sub-project 2A-Bacterial blight resistance: Duration: 1 year & extendable further

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (EQ):B.Sc.,(Ag)/B.Sc., in life sciences from a recognized and reputed University.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience in field/laboratory work.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/-p.m. (fixed).
5.ICAR network project on “Multiplication Evaluation of Rice Germplasm” Duration: 1 year & extendable further.
POST: Technical Help (2 posts)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (EQ):B.Sc.,(Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Microbiology) or Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized University.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience in field/laboratory work.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/-p.m. (fixed).
6.DBT-DBSRR sub project 1B(coordination) Duration: 1 year & extendable further.
POST: Office Assistant/Sr.Office Assistant(1 post)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (EQ): Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized University with experience in computer work, typing, accounting etc. Two years work experience in the department of administration/accounts for Senior Office Assistant in any organization.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Work experience in any organization in the department of administration/accounts will be preferred.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/-p.m.(fixed) for Office Assistant and Rs.10,000/-p.m.(fixed) for Sr. Office Assistant.
7.DBTs FGR Ph-II sub-project 3B-Blast: Duration: 1 year & extendable further
POST: Technical Help (1 post)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (EQ):B.Sc.,(Botany, Zoology, Chemistry,Microbiology) or Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized University.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience in field/laboratory work.
EMOLUMENTS: Consolidated pay of Rs.8,000/-p.m. (fixed).
AGE: Below 25 years for Office Asst./Sr.Office Asst., below 30 years for Technical Help, below 35 years for men and 40 years for women for JRF & SRF and below 40 years for men and 45 years for women for RA as on 30.11.2011 (age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates available as per rule)
1. No Objection Certificate from the present employer is must if already working.
2. The above position are purely temporary/contractual and is to co-terminus with the project.
3. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project.
4. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview.
5. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
6. The decision of Project Director, DRR would be final and binding in all aspects.
7. The candidates should bring with them the original certificates and attested copies of educational
qualifications, age & caste at the time of interview.
8. Relevant publications a. Experience certificate in original, if any. b. Latest passport size photo.
