Postdoctoral position at National Cancer Institute, Bethesda

ZBTB FAMILY OF TRANSCRIPTIONAL REPRESSORS IN IMMUNE REGULATION
National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD and surrounding area
A postdoctoral position is available to study the role of the Zbtb family of transcriptional repressors in lymphocyte differentiation and immune regulation. We are currently studying the role of PLZF in immune regulation (Nat. Immunol. 2008.9:1055; J.I. 2010.184:6746) as well as other members of this family with still uncharacterized immune functions. The position requires knowledge of immunology and molecular biology, and involves the use of shRNA vectors to regulate gene expression in T-cells, identification of DNA targets by Chip and Chip-Seq and the analysis of genetically modified mice.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a Ph.D and/or MD and a maximum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
To Apply:
Please submit a CV, cover letter specifying research interests and the contact information of 3 referents to Dr. Damian Kovalovsky ( kovalovskyd@mail.nih.gov )
This position is subject to a background investigation.
The NIH is dedicated to building a diverse community in its training and employment programs.
