Eligible and interested candidates are invited for a Walk-In-Interview to be held at the campus of Directorate of Sorghum Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad – 500 030 on 31st July, 2012 at 9:30 AM for recruitment of one Research Associate under the DBT project mentioned below.

Position: Research Associate

Project: Biofortifying Sorghum with High Grain Iron and  Zinc Content for Combating Micronutrient Malnutrition

Essential qualification: Essential: Doctorate (Ph.D) in Plant Breeding & Genetics / Genetics / Agrl. Botany / Botany

Desirable: Research experience with sorghum crop, experience in handling field experiments, emasculation and crossing techniques, field evaluation including design and layout, and

biochemical grain quality analysis. Well versed with computer applications and statistics packages

Salary: Rs. 22000 + 30% HRA

Duration: Till February,2015

The above post is purely temporary and on contractual basis for the period of the project. The candidate shall submit five copies of application at the time of interview in the proforma enclosed along with a passport size photograph and one set of attested copies of requisite mark-sheets, certificates and supporting documents. They have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for verification. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview. Decision of the Director, DSR is final and binding in all respects.

Terms & Conditions:

(1) The age limit for above positions is up to 35 years for men and 40 years for women. The relaxation in upper age limit is permissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.

(2) The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment / absorption in DSR or DBT or other project funding agencies at the end of the project.
