WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The walk-in-interview for the positions of Research Associates/Senior Research Fellows/Data Entry Operator and Office Assistant in various projects will be conducted at this Institute on the date/time and venue and other details shown against each position on contractual basis. The eligible candidates are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for Walk-in-Interview for the positions of Research Associates/Senior Research Fellows/Data Entry Operator and Office Assistant at NDRI, Karnal, as per schedule indicated against each.

1. NFBSFARA Project “Micro-encapsulation Methods for Bacteriocins for their Controlled Release” under Dr. R.K. Malik, PS & PI, DM Division, NDRI, Karnal.	RA 01(One) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years experience	Upto December, 2013	DM Division NDRI, Karnal on  07-05-2012  at  10:30 A.M.	Essential Qualification :  Doctoral Degree in any one of the following disciplines (Microbiology/Food Microbiology/Dairy Microbiology/ Animal  Biochemistry) OR Master Degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in any one of the following disciplines (Microbiology/Food Microbiology/ Dairy Microbiology / Biochemistry) with at least two years of research experience in Microbial Metabolites/ Lactic Acid Bacteria/ Biochemical and Molecular Biology Techniques. Desirable: Knowledge of computer, M.S. Office, Internet access.
2. NAIP Research Projects “Elucidating the physiological and genomic regulation process of follicular development, oocyte maturation and embryogenesis in buffalo” under   Dr. T.K. Datta, PS & PI, ABTC, NDRI, Karnal.	RA 01  (One) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years experience	Upto June, 2012	ABTC Division NDRI, Karnal on  09-05-2012  at  10:30 A.M.	Essential Qualification: Ph.D degree in any one of the following disciplines of Animal Biotechnology / Animal Biochemistry. OR Master Degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in any one of the following disciplines of Animal Biotechnology/ Animal Biochemistry at least with two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/associates ship /Training /other engagements. Desirable: Laboratory experience in Molecular biology tools, real time PCR, cell/embryo/oocyte culture, essential bioinformatics tools.
3. NAIP Research Project “Rumen microbial diversity in domesticated and wild ruminants and impact of additives on methanogenesis and utilization of poor quality fibrous feeds” under Dr. S.K. Sirohi, Sr. Scientist & PI, DCN Division, NDRI, Karnal.	RA 01  (One) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years experience	Upto June, 2012	DCN Division NDRI, Karnal on  11-05-2012  at  10:30 A.M.	Essential Qualification: Ph.D in any one of the following disciplines of Animal Nutrition/Animal Biotechnology/ Biotechnology / Rumen Microbiology / Microbiology/ Organic Chemistry. OR Master Degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in any one of the following disciplines Animal Nutrition/Animal Biotechnology / Biotechnology/ Rumen Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Organic Chemistry at least with two years of research experience in anaerobic microbiology or dairy animals. Desirable: Research experience in molecular and microbiological techniques or experience in conducting animal nutrition experience in lab or field.
4. NAIP Research Project “Development of e-courses for B.Tech (Dairy Technology) degree programme” under the sub-component “information, Communication and Dissemination System (ICDS)” under Dr. A.A. Patel, PI & Head, D.T. Division, NDRI, Karnal.	Data Entry Operator 01(One) Rs. 8000/- per month fixed	Upto June,2012	DT Division, NDRI, Karnal on 14-05-2012 at 10:30 A.M	Essential: 10+2 in science subjects with good proficiency in English, computer operation, MS Office and good typing speed. Desirable: Graduate in Science subjects and passed out from English medium school.
5. DAHD Research Project entitled “Costs and Returns in Milk Production: Developing Standardized Methodology and Estimates for Various Production Systems” Under Dr. Raka Saxena, Senior Scientist & PI, DES&M Division, NDRI, Karnal	Office Assistant 01 (One) Rs. 8000/- per month (Fixed)	Upto February, 2014	DES&M Division, NDRI, Karnal on 16-05-2012 at 10:30 A.M.	Essential Qualification: Graduate Degree from any disciplines preferably with Economics background with at least one year Diploma in Computer Science from a Govt. Institution (recognized) or 10+2 with a Degree in Computer Science from a recognized university. Desirable: The candidate must have reasonably good knowledge of English language and should be proficient in use of MS Office and internet.
6. Research Project “National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture” (NICRA) under Dr. R.C. Upadhyay, Head, DCP Division, NDRI, Karnal	RA 03 (Three) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years experience	Till March 31st 2013	DCP Division NDRI, Karnal on 18-05-2012  at 10.30 A.M	Essential Qualification: Ph.D  degree in any one of the following disciplines of Animal Science/Dairy Science and Environmental Science. OR Masters degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in any one of the following disciplines of Animal Physiology/ Animal Nutrition/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Dairy Economics/ Agricultural Economics/Dairy Extension/Agricultural Extension at least with two years research experience Desirable: Knowledge of computer, M.S. Office, internet access is required.
7. OR Master Degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in any one of the following disciplines of Dairy Economics / Livestock Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Economics/ Agricultural Extension/Veterinary Extension/ Dairy Extension/ Livestock Production and Management/Dairy Science & Animal Husbandry/Agribusiness Management from a recognized university at least with two years of research experience. Desirable: (i) Proficiency in data collection and analysis (ii) Sound knowledge of computers in operating statistical, spreadsheets, word processing and internet access is required (iii) Experience in handling field data.

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Dairy Economics / Livestock Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Economics/ Agricultural Extension/ Veterinary Extension/ Dairy Extension /Livestock Production and Management / Dairy Science & Animal Husbandry / Agribusiness Management from a recognized university. Desirable: (i) Research experience on field data collection from rural households (ii) Proficiency in data collection and analysis (iii) Sound knowledge of computers in operating statistical, spreadsheets, word processing and internet access is required.
8. NFBSFARA Research Proposal “Deciphering the mechanism of aberrant maternal recognition of pregnancy (MRP) events in sheep and buffalo under heat and nutritional stress” under Dr. T.K. Datta, PS & PI, ABTC, NDRI, Karnal.	SRF 01 (One) Rs. 16,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year for Post Graduate in subjects other than Veterinary Science.  Rs. 18,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year Rs. 20000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year for Post Graduate in Veterinary Science.	Upto 31-03-2013	ABTC Division NDRI, Karnal on  23-05-2012  at  10:30 A.M.	Essential Qualification: Master Degree in the discipline of Animal Biotechnology/ Animal Biochemistry/ other relevant subjects. Desirable: Laboratory experience in Molecular biology tools, real time PCR, cell/embryo/oocyte culture, essential bioinformatics tools.
9. XI Plan Scheme entitled “Intellectual Property Management & Transfer/Commercialization of Agriculture Technology Scheme” under Dr. Y.S. Rajput, Head & PI, Animal Biochemistry Division, NDRI, Karnal.	RA 01 (One) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years	Till March 31st 2013	AB.C Division, NDRI, Karnal  on 25-05-2012 at 10:30 AM	Essential Qualification: Ph.D  degree in any one of the following disciplines of Biotechnology/ Biochemistry /Animal Biochemistry/Dairy Chemistry/ Dairy Technology /Dairy Microbiology. OR Masters degree with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in any one of the following disciplines of Biotechnology /Biochemistry /Animal Biochemistry /Dairy Chemistry/ Dairy Technology /Dairy        Microbiology at least with two years research/teaching experience. Desirable: Knowledge of Intellectual Property Rights, Patent Laws, and computer use, internet search.
10. Research Project “National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture” (NICRA) under Dr. R.C. Upadhyay, Head, DCP Division, NDRI, Karnal	SRF 03 (Three) Rs. 16000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year for Post Graduate in subjects other than Veterinary Science.  Rs. 18,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year Rs. 20000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year for Post Graduate in Veterinary Science.	Till March 31st 2013	DCP Division NDRI, Karnal on 29-05-2012  at 10.30 A.M	Essential Qualification: Masters Degree in the following subjects with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average (Animal physiology/Animal Nutrition/Dairy Economics /Agricultural Economics / Dairy Extension and Biotechnology. Desirable: Knowledge of computer, M.S. Office, internet access is required
11. Outreach Project “Monitoring Of Drug Residues and Environmental Pollutants under Dr. Naresh Kumar, Sr. Scientist & CCPI, DM Division, NDRI, Karnal	RA (One) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years experience	March, 2013	DM Division NDRI, Karnal on  31-05-2012  at  10:30 A.M.	Essential: Ph.D or M.Sc Degree in the following subjects with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Dairy Microbiology/Food Microbiology/ Agricultural Microbiology /Biochemistry / General  Microbiology /Life Sciences or allied disciples with two year research experience as evidenced from fellowship/associate ship/training ship/or published papers in standard journals. Desirable: (i) Preference will be given to candidates have experience in the field  of biosensor, analyzing milk & milk products and food samples for microbiological quality parameters preferably familiar with food analysis for drugs, aflatoxins and hygiene indicator organisms etc. (ii)  Good knowledge of statistics/ software optimization, proficiency in computer application particularly in use of MS office.

Age Limit:

40 year for Men and 45 years for Women in case of RA on the date of Interview.

                35 year for Men and 40 years for Women in case of SRF on the date of Interview.

18-45 years on the date of Interview for Office Assistant.

18-45 years on the date of Interview for Data Entry Operator.

                (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and PHC as per GOI/ICAR rules)

The above positions are purely temporary and will be filled in on Contractual basis.  The selected candidate shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the fellowship is co-terminus with the Project/Scheme.  Interested candidates may attend Walk-in-Interview on the dates as indicated against each project/scheme alongwith original certificates and typed bio-data with one set of attested copies of each their certificates with passport size photograph.  No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

 All eligible candidates are advised to be present at least 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview for necessary formalities. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidates.
