Programme on ‘Data Analysis Using SAS’ of NAIP project
“SSC
for NARS”
OBJECTIVES: 1. To strengthen the high end
statistical computing environment for the scientists in NARS
2.
To organize customized training programmes and also develop training modules
and
manuals for the trainers at various hubs.
3.
To sensitize the scientists in NARS with statistical computing capabilities
available for enhancing their computing and research analytics skills.
In
order to sensitize usage of SAS in NARS, a training programme on ‘Data
Analysis Using SAS’ is being
organized from 8th to 13th August, 2011 in the Department of Agricultural
Statistics, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, CoA, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore.
Kindly nominate one or two faculty/scientists of the University/Institute for this
training programme. The nomination may be sent by e-mail or by post to the address
given on or before 18th July, 2011. The expenses towards TA (limited to II
tier AC by the shortest route) and DA of participants will be met out from
project funds. The
boarding
and lodging arrangements would be made at host institutes at Bangalore. The participants
are requested to book their tickets only after receiving confirmation from PI of
NAIP project “SSC for NARS” Bangalore centre.
