POSTDOC
POSITION IN PHARMACOLOGY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF TRH AND TSH RECEPTORS
NATIONAL
INSTITUTE OF DIABETES AND DIGESTIVE AND KIDNEY DISEASES, BETHESDA, MD AND
SURROUNDING AREA
The
National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK),
Section on Receptors and Hormone Action (RHA) seeks to fill a Postdoctoral
Fellow position. The RHA laboratory explores the roles of thyroid-stimulating
hormone (thyrotropin, TSH) and thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) in
physiology and pathophysiology in mice, and discovers and develops small
molecule, "drug-like" compounds for the receptors for TSH and TRH.
The lab uses in vitro cell-free, in vitro cell-based and in vivo mouse models
for pharmacological studies of ligands that bind to TSH and TRH receptors.
Requirements: Candidates with a strong
background in pharmacology and rodent experimentation are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have a Ph.D., D.V.M or M.D. degree and experience performing
and interpreting experiments in mice.
To Apply: Interested applicants should send
