Description of Content
This study programme focuses on the
foundations and the evolution of non-human and human primate behaviour.
Research projects are undertaken in the fields of psychology, anthropology and
evolutionary biology, with an emphasis on comparative and interdisciplinary
approaches. Major topics are the evolution of social behaviour, group behaviour
and group coordination, developmental psychology, as well as the cognitive and
physiological foundations of behaviour. The programme is affiliated with the
Courant Research Centre for the Evolution of Social Behaviour, which is funded
by the German Excellence Initiative.
