PROJECT TITLE AND CODE: CRZ demarcation, identification of intake and outfall locations for cooling water and comprehensive marine EIA studies for the proposed APPDCL 5x800 MW Vadarevu Thermal Power Project at Vadarevu, Prakasam District, A.P.- Seabed Engineering Studies -- SSP2439
POSITION REQUIRED TO BE FILLED FOR PERIOD OF MONTHS : 12
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. / M.Sc. (Tech) in Geophysics or M.Sc. Marine Sciences with Marine Geophysics or M.Sc. Marine Geophysics.
DESIRABLE: Knowledge of GMT / GIS software, acquaintance with offshore geophysical data acquisition methods and onboard experience. Software skills of data processing and modeling on both Windows and UNIX / LINUX platform. Candidates are required to have valid passport. They should have aptitude to carry out independent research.
JOB REQUIREMENT: To support the scientists during acquisition, processing and interpretation of Geophysical data. Should have aptitude to work at sea and assist the scientists in collection and processing of oceanographic data onboard research vessels. Candidates are required to go for field work onboard boats / ships as and when required
