RA/Project Assistant/SRF posts(mungbean yellow mosaic India virus (MYMIV) resistance loci in soybean) at NIPGR, New Delhi

INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR PROJECT POSITIONS

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate and one Project Assistant in DBT research project entitled 'Mapping of mungbean yellow mosaic India virus (MYMIV) resistance loci in soybean' and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in NIPGR "Short-Term Research Fellowships' scheme under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Prasad, Scientist, NIPGR.
(A) Research Associate (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms.
Candidates having Ph.D. degree with relevent research experience in Molecular Biology and preferably three year post-Ph. D. research experience on related subject in R&D laboratories in any discipline of Life Sciences. Knowledge and experience with molecular markers will be preferred. The candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career.
(B) Project Assistant (one post): Emoluments as per sanctioned in project.
Candidates having first class M.Sc. degree in any subject of Life Science with one year of post M.Sc. research experience in R&D laboratorie(s). Expertise in molecular marker techniques along with basic knowledge of molecular biology background will be preferred. The candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career.
(C) Senior Research Fellow (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms.
Candidates having first class M.Sc. degree in any subject of Life Science with two year of post M.Sc. research experience. Experience on working with molecular biology and genomics with atleast two international publications is highly desirable. The candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career.
The positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
