WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH METHODOLOGY FOR UNDER GRADUATE MEDICAL STUDENTS

Workshops are scheduled as follows:

Workshop no. 1 - 27th DEC’2011

Workshop no. 2 – 30th Dec 2011

Workshop no. 3 – 5th Jan 2012

COURSE TITLE: Orientation in Medical Research Methodology

COURSE FEE: Rs. 200/-(Cash payment at registration)

DURATION: 1 day (as scheduled above).

VENUE: ICPO(ICMR), NOIDA

Enrollment may be made for any one of the workshops by sending E-mail request at labani_icpo@hotmail.com

The number of participants for the course is limited to 40 and enrollment is purely on first come first served basis. If participants limit exceeds for any workshop, then these will be adjusted for other workshops. Students applying for short term studentship in ICMR given preference. Registration for workshop is at 9 am on the scheduled day of workshop by cash payment of Rs. 200/- at work shop venue of ICPO Noida. Participants will be served working lunch & Tea.

COURSE CONTENTS:

Steps in protocol preparation, Types of studies (descriptive epid & analytical), sampling, sample size, data collection methods, approach of statistical evaluation and ethics in medical research. Descriptive statistics, concept of p-values and confidence intervals.
