Course title: APPLICATION OF STATISTICAL SOFTWARES IN MEDICAL RESEARCH
COURSE CONTENTS:
· Research Processes , Design of epidemiological studies
· Introduction to commonly used statistical softwares
· Database creation, Data Manipulation/ Transformation and importing external databases
Descriptive statistics: calculating Mean, standard deviation, displaying Normal curve, reporting frequencies. Graphical representation of medical data.
· Testing Hypothesis: Parametric tests: (independent t test, paired t test, ANOVA etc.) and
· Non-Parametric tests: (Mann Whitney U test, Wilcoxon signed ranked test)
· Overview of regression models -Linear, Multiple, binary and polytomous logistic
· regressions
· Applications in Bioinformatics
COURSE FEE: Rs. 1800/-
DURATION: 3 days (18th to 20st January 2012)
VENUE: ICPO (ICMR), NOIDA
Enrollment may be made by paying the course fee through demand draft / pay order in favour of Director, ICPO, NOIDA payable at Noida or Delhi before 5th January 2012.The number of participants for the course is limited to 20 and enrollment is purely on first come first served basis. Participants will be served lunch and tea.
