NOTIFICATION FOR THE AWARD OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (STATE FUNDED)
Applications in prescribed form are invited for the award of State Funded J.R.F. in Physics(05), Chemistry(06), Mathematics(09), Zoology(08), Botany(04), Geography(01), Statistics(01), Biotechnology(01), Computer Science(01), Bengali(03), English(03), Economics(04), Philosophy(03), Commerce(03), Sanskrit(04), Political Science(04), History(04), Sociology(01), Law(01), Lib. & Inf. Science (01), M.B.A.(01), M.B.A. (H.R.)(01), M.B.A. (Tourism)(01) and Education(01).
The figures shown under bracket against each subject denote the number of tentative vacancies. Basic eligibility is UGC NET/GATE / SET qualification. Candidates having UGC NET/ UGC-CSIR qualification for J.R. Fellowship in any one of the subjects taught at the University Departments may also apply for the UGC J. R. Fellowship. Forms may be had from the University Sales Counter at Rajbati, Burdwan on cash payment of Rs. 200/- and on production of documents in support of basic eligibility from 15.12.2011 to 30.12.2011(Not on Saturdays & Holidays) between 11a.m. and 1.p.m. on any working day. Candidates having Masters Degree in the relevant subject but awaiting final certificate of UGC NET/GATE / SET may also apply but must have to submit the certificate on or before the date of interview. Application forms may also be downloaded from the University website: http:/www.buruniv.ac.in. Candidates obtaining the form from the University website must enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- issued in favour of ‘Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan’ payable at Burdwan at the time of submitting the same. Last date of submission of filled in forms is 30.12.2011.
