Employment Notice for Walk-in-interview

One ‘Senior Research Fellow (SRF)’ and one ‘Lab Assistant’ will be recruited purely on contractual basis under the DBT funded project entitled "Identification, Cloning and Characterization of Genes Associated With Cytoplasmic Male Sterility (CMS) and Designing PCR Based Markers for Seed Purity Testing in Pearl Millet" at Division of Seed Science and Technology, IARI, New Delhi-110012.

EMOLUMENTS: Rs. 14000 +HRA

QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/Genetics/ Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks / equivalent grade. NET or Equivalent qualification.

Desirable: Minimum of one-year experience in RFLP analysis of mt-DNA, inverse PCR, cloning and sequencing.

Basic knowledge in Bioinformatics tools.

POSTS: Lab Assistant

EMOLUMENTS :Rs. 8000/-consolidated

QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: Matriculation with good academic record.

Desirable: Minimum of six months work experience.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

(i) Maximum age 35 years for SRF and 28 years for lab assistant (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).

(ii) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to December 2012, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project.

The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 15th December, 2011 at 10.00 AM. in the chamber of Head, Division of Seed Science and Technology, IARI, New Delhi 110012.

(iii) The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photographs (two). No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.

(iv) Concealing of facts shall lead to disqualification or termination.
