A. PROJECT TITLE: DBT Mission on Quality Planting Material Production and Utilization in North-East being implemented by the Department of Botany, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
1. DURATION OF THE PROJECT: Upto 31st December, 2012.
2a. NAME OF THE POSITION: Technical Assistant
VACANCY: One
SALARY: Rs.7, 500/- p.m. (consolidated)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: B.Sc. Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture/Soil Conservation or M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Environmental Science/Botany/Ecology/Life Sciences.
2b. NAME OF THE POSITION: Lab/Field Attendant
VACANCY: One
SALARY: Rs. 3,400/- p.m. (consolidated)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (i) Candidates must have passed at least Class VIII (ii) must have working experience of at least six months in a lab and/or driving experience with a valid driving license.
B. PROJECT TITLE: Establishment of DBT's Rural Bioresource Complex in North-East India being implemented by the Department of Botany, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
1. DURATION OF THE PROJECT: 2 years
NAME OF THE POSITION: Senior Technical Assistant
VACANCY: One
SALARY: Rs.10, 000/- p.m. (consolidated)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: M.Sc. Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture/Soil Conservation/Biotechnology/Environmental Science/Botany/Ecology/Life Sciences.
