Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Junior Research Fellow position under the Research Project tenable at the School of Bio Sciences and Technology, VIT University, Vellore - 632 014, as per the details given below: 
TITLE OF THE PROJECT:"“Studies on the molecular aspects of schizophrenia with special reference to hormone receptor genes and variant serotype alleles”.
SPONSORING AGENCY: Department of Biotechnology, Government of India
DURATION: 2 Years
PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR: Dr. Anilkumar Gopinathan, SBST, VIT University
POSITION: Junior Research Fellow
FELLOWSHIP: Rs.14,000/- (consolidated) p.m.
QUALIFICATION: M.Sc in Biotechnology.
DESCRIPTION: Project proposes to pursue molecular biological studies of the hormone receptors (its sequencing and expression) and its polymorphism in schizophrenic patients. It would also involve analysis on the variant serotype alleles on the HLA locus.

The position is purely temporary and would be terminated with the termination of the Project. No TA and DA will be paid for attending the interview. Selected candidate should be willing to join with immediate effect.
