WALK - IN- INTERVIEW

Walk-in-interview will be conducted for contractual appointment of one Research Associate (RA) in ICAR funded Network Project on R&D Support for Process Upgradation of Indigenous Milk Products for Industrial Application located at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on September 22, 2011 at 10.30 AM in the office of the Coordinator, Centre of Food Science and Technology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University.

DURATION: The period of RA is upto March 31, 2012 or till termination of the project.

EMOLUMENTS: Monthly remuneration of Rs. 23,000/- for M. Sc. /M. Tech. plus HRA and Rs. 24,000/- for Ph. D. plus HRA as per ICAR Rules.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: To conduct research on process upgradation of indigenous milk products for industrial application including survey of types of indigenous milk products in Eastern Region of India.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RA: Ph.D. in Dairy Technology/Dairy Chemistry/Dairy Microbiology/Dairy Engineering/Food Technology/Food Science/ Post-Harvest Engg. & Technology/Biochemistry/Animal Biochemistry/Botany/Biotechnology/Biochemical Engg. having 1st division or equivalent grade point.

OR

M.Sc./M.Tech. in Dairy Technology/Dairy Chemistry/Dairy Microbiology/Dairy Engineering/Food Technology/Food Science/ Post-Harvest Engg. & Technology/Biochemistry/Animal Biochemistry /Botany /Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engg.  having 1st division or equivalent grade point.

DESIRABLE: Knowledge in handling analytical equipments like HPLC/GCMS etc. and Computer Applications.

AGE: Upper age limit is 45 years (5 years relaxation for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates) as on the date of interview. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

The eligible and interested candidates desirous to work in the project must bring a copy of bio-data giving Name, Permanent and Correspondence Address, Name of Father and Mother, Telephone Numbers and E. Mail address, details of educational career (starting from High School or equivalent) alongwith original and attested copies of mark-sheets & certificates of educational qualifications and also of any research or other experience. Please also bring NOC from Employer/University, if working already and a latest passport size photograph at the time of walk-in-interview.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

 1.        Position is purely temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project.

2.         There is no provision for re-employment after termination of the project.

3.         The engagement can be discontinued due to administrative reasons.

4.         The candidates attending the walk-in-interview will not be entitled for TA/DA

5.         Eligible candidates must be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview to complete necessary formalities.

6.         Selected candidate will be medically examined prior to issuing the offer.

7.         The decision of the BHU will be final and binding in all aspects.
