Research assistant Position at AVRDC(For Taiwan nAtionals)

AVRDC – The World Vegetable Center is seeking a project-based Principal Research Assistant or Assistant Specialist in Nutrition.

AVRDC – The World Vegetable Center is a nonprofit, autonomous international agricultural research center with headquarters in Taiwan and regional offices around the globe. AVRDC conducts research and development programs that contribute to improved incomes and diets in the developing world through increased production and consumption of nutritious and health-promoting vegetables. The campus is located next to the Tainan Science Park, close to the Nanke Experimental school and train station. The environment is ‘English-speaking’ and multi-cultural with staff recruited worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct phytochemical analyses using LCMS (liquid chromatography mass spectrometry)

·      

Qualification and experience

·       MSc in chemistry, pharmacology or life science related field

·       Experience in compound analysis and identification using LCMS

·       Good written and spoken English is desirable
