POST: Scientific Officer – Cereals Pathology
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct field, greenhouse and laboratory experiments, data collection, data analysis and prepare draft reports related to sorghum and pearl millet diseases.
  • Supervise various field and greenhouse operations and manage laboratory inventories and other related jobs from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
M.Sc. in Plant Pathology with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
High skill of culturing, maintaining and increasing inoculum of fungal pathogens essential. The candidate must be highly motivated and have excellent computer and communication skills in English (both written and spoken); and ability to work in multidisciplinary team.
GENERAL: The position will initially be for a 3-year period, and renewable for a further period based on the performance of the incumbent and continuing need for the position. An attractive all inclusive consolidated compensation is offered for the right candidate.
