Applications are invited for the posts of Project Assistant (1) at a fixed salary of Rs. 8000/- pm and HRA and Field Attendant (1) at a fixed salary of Rs. 6000/- pm under a Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India funded project entitled “Impact of fire and grazing on structure and function of grassland ecosystem of Cherrapunjee” sanctioned for a period of three years. The essential qualification or Project Assistant is M.Sc in Environmental Science/Botany/Ecology/Forestry/Life Science. The Field Attendant should be Matric pass and will be required to stay in Cherrapunjee.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 2 positions

Pay scale: Rs. 12000+10% HRA for 1st & 2nd years; Rs. 14000+10% HRA for 3rd, 4th and 5th Years

Duration: 5 years (the appointment is co-terminus with the project)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Ecology/ Botany/Life Science/ Environmental Science

Project Assistant for Coordination Work at Delhi: 1 position

Pay scale: Rs. 14000 fixed for 5 years

Duration: 5 years (the appointment is co-terminus with the project)

Essential Qualifications: (i) Graduate in any discipline, (ii) At least two years of experience in project coordination/management/accounting with proficiency in computer applications.

Desirable qualification: MBA

Field Attendant: 1 position

Pay scale: Rs. 6000 fixed for 5 years

Duration: 5 years (the appointment is co-terminus with the project)

Essential Qualifications: Matriculate with at least 2 years of experience in field/laboratory work with valid driving license

Research Assistant: 1 position

Pay scale: Rs. 8000 fixed for 5 years

Duration: 5 years (the appointment is co-terminus with the project)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Botany/ Ecology/Environmental Science
