POST:
Research associate (one position) for DBT funded project “Analyzing anti-mycobacterial role
of Sphingolipids against pulmonary infection with pathogenic Mycobacteria”
initially for a duration of one year with possibility of extension until the
end of project until Dec 2017
.
Fellowship: Rs 36000 plus 30% HRA per month as
per revised DST scale
Nature of work
planned: We are
using several immunological and molecular approaches (siRNA Knockdown method
e.g.) to unravel the
role of various
Sphingolipids and their various
derivatives on major antimycobacterial parameters of macrophages and epithelium and their co culture model system.
Necessary
Educational qualification:
Ph.D dissertation in the broad area of “ infection and immunity” and should
have got expertise
on molecular cloning
and expression of
various mammalian proteins
which is major
requirement of the project. The most eligible candidate would have an
additional expertise of
handling and conducting
experiments with animals
and have worked
in BSL2 lab environment.
