Walk-In Interview for the post of JRF and SRF

Candidates who have passed the national written test like UGC-CSIR NET (Lectureship or JRF), BET, ICMR EXAM (JRF- PROJECT)/BET may appear for the walk-in-interview on 25– 09 –2012 at 11 A.M. for the post of Junior Research Fellow in the project entitled “Long term effect of arsenic exposure on placental vasculogenesis in mice”. This project is under DBT’s Twinning programme for the North Eastern Region, Agartala Medical College, Agartala, and another post of Junior and Senior Research Fellow (one each ) in DST sponsored project “ Environmental and occupational exposure and male reproductive function” ( for short duration) in the Department of Reproductive and Cyto-toxicology of the institute. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

1.      POST: Junior Research Fellow (One) DBT Project

PAY(RS): Rs. 16000  10% HRA * Candidates without national test can also be considered (Rs. 12000+10%HRA)

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Essential: Masters in Zoology/Biochemistry / Molecular biology/ Biotechnology or equivalent degree with good academic record and should pass the National written test like UGC-CSIR NET, ICMR-JRF , DBT-BET, and NET Qualified for lectureship and ICMR exam qualified for the JRF Project post will also be considered.

Desirable: Experience in the field of either Reproductive, Molecular biology and animal handling

JOB REQUIREMENT: • Handling of mice, dosing, autopsy, blood & tissue collection

• Laboratory work related to histological,  biochemical and molecular technique

• Computation of data analysis and report writing

AGE LIMIT: Below 28 years Age relaxation in case of SC/ST/OB C/PH as per rules

2.      POST : Junior Research Fellow (One) DST Project (on going)

PAY(RS): 12000/- +15% HRA

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Essential: M. Sc. in Zoology / Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Toxicology/ other related subjects with good academic record and passed National written test like UGC-CSIR NET – lectureship /ICMR exam qualified for project.

Desirable: Experience in the field of either reproductive / cytotoxicology

JOB REQUIREMENT: • To collect history, biological samples

• To carry out laboratory work related to semen analysis/ biochemical and hormonal assay

• Computation of data and report writing

AGE LIMIT: Below 28 years for JRF

Age relaxation in case of  SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per rules

3.      POST : Senior Research Fellow  One) DST Project (on going)

PAY(RS): 14000/- +15% HRA

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Essential: M. Sc. in Zoology /Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/Toxicology/ other related subjects with good academic record and passed National written test like UGC-CSIR NET / lectureship /ICMR exam qualified with 2 years research experience.

Desirable: Experience in the field of either reproductive / cytotoxicology
