Applications from Indian Nationals with bio-data and
requisite documents are invited for two (2) Junior
Research Fellow positions under the Department of
Biotechnology (DBT) funded Twinning project for
north-east region ( with NIPGR, New Delhi) entitled “Functional
Proteomic Studies in North East
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) for
dehydration tolerance” in
the Department of Life Science & Bioinformatics,
Assam University, Silchar.
Duration of the project: 3 years.
Essential qualification: M.Sc in Life
Science/Biotechnology /Biochemistry/Microbiology/Botany from
any recognized University with 55 % marks.
Emoluments: Rs.16,000/- + HRA with
NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified
Rs 12,000/- +HRA for non NET/GATE/BET/BINC. After
two years the post may be
upgraded to SRF for 3rd year.
Terms and conditions: No TA/DA will be paid for
attending interview, if called for. The other terms and
conditions prescribed for JRF by DBT, Government of
India will be applied. The positions are purely
temporary and will be governed by the Administrative
rules/ service conditions of the University/DBT.
