WALK -IN INTERVIEW (Unreserved under DBT Project)

The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Research Fellows in the following DBT funded project purely on contractual basis. Details of the position are given below:

NAME OF THE PROJECT: DBT Network Project on ‘Development of micronutrient enriched maize through molecular breeding-Phase-II’

1.      NAME OF POST: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

NO. OF POST: Two

EMOLUMENTS (FIXED) PM: Rs. 12000 + HRA for Master degree in basic science

OR

Rs. 14000 + HRA for Master degree in basic science & 2 years experience

OR

Rs. 16000 + HRA for master degree in basic science & NET OR Rs. 18000 + HRA for master degree in basic science, NET & 2 years experience

QUALIFICATION:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Plant Sciences

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: NET qualification & experience in application of molecular markers in plants, estimation of molecules using HPLC and related techniques

2.      NO. OF POST: Lab/Field Assistant

NO. OF POST: One

EMOLUMENTS (FIXED) PM: Rs. 8000 (consolidated)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: 12th pass from recognized board Desirable Qualification: Experience and knowledge of cultivating Agricultural crops.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

AGE LIMIT: SRFs: Not more than 35 years, Lab/Field Assistant: Not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years. Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC.

(i) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year, which may be extended periodically subjected to performance till the termination of the project.

(ii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.

(iii) The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 21th June, 2012 at 10.00 AM. in the chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.

(iv) Reporting time: 9:30 AM

(v) The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. The original degree of Master of Science or provisional (for SRFs) and 12th pass certificate (for Lab/Field Assistant) is essentially to be brought while attending the interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview.

(vi) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

(vii) Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.

(viii) Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.

(ix) The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of interview only in the format annexed along with the declaration

(x) The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in advance in writing so as to reach Head, Division of Genetics, by 18th June, 2012. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.

(xi) All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit on the date of interview.
