Applications are invited for purely project based temporary position of JRF in DST funded project entitled “Runoff modeling and Simulation of Sediment Load of Gangotri Glacier Systems”. Candidate having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic record and experience may apply.

POSITION AND EMOLUMENTS: JRF (1), Rs.14, 000/ pm. + 10% HRA; for NET qualified otherwise Rs. 12,000 pm. + 10% HRA.

QUALIFICATION: M.Sc. in Mathematics /Geology/Earth Sciences/ /Environmental Sciences /Remote Sensing /Geo- Physics or M.Tech. with specialization in  Hydrology/Glaciology/Environmental Science & Engineering/Water Resources/Geological & Geophysical Technology with minimum 55% marks.

 DESIRABLE: Knowledge of computers, MATLAB, soft computing techniques (Such as Artificial Neutral Network), hydrological modeling. And RS/GIS.

NATURE OF DUTIES: The work includes hydrological modeling, simulation using soft computing techniques, satellite data processing using RS&GIS techniques and data collection in the field at High altitude area;

Appointment will be initially for one year.

AGE LIMIT: JRF. 28 years. Relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC as per Govt. of India norms.
