Applications are
invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in
a DBT funded research project entitled “A Novel Technology Platform for
Assay of calcium channels” at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology,
Thiruvananthapuram.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
M.Sc./M.Tech in
Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Zoology with consistent good academic
grades (Minimum of 60% aggregate. Candidates should have qualified NET.
Relevant prior experience in areas such as animal tissue culture and molecular
biology are desirable.
EMOLUMENTS: 16,800/- per month
(Consolidated).
DURATION: Two years or till termination
of the project (whichever is earlier).
Only those
fulfilling the above criteria need apply and in the event of more than 10
candidates being short-listed for selection procedure, a written test will be
held. Candidates qualifying in the written test will then be assessed at a
selection interview.
Suitably qualified

before 30th April, 2012. Envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title
of the project, advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position
will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or
otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co
terminus with end of the project
