Applications are invited on or before 05.03.2012 for the following post to be filled up under the time bound research project entitled “Neurobehavioral changes in rats treated with methyl mercury at gestational stage of fetal development” sponsored by ICMR at National Institute of Occupational Health, Ahmedabad. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project:-

POST: Senior Research Fellow(One)

 PAY (RS): 18000/+ 20% HRA p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Essential: M. Sc. in Neurosciences/ Life Sciences / Medical Physiology / Zoology/ Biochemistry or equivalent PG degree from a recognized university with good academic records and TWO years research experience

Desirable: Animal experience in the field of developmental neurotoxicity, behavioral and neurosciences will be highly preferable/ advantages. Working hand or expertise in operating animal behavioral assessing instruments is highly desirable. Computer monitory/supervisory laboratory work is also desirable.

Preference will be given to candidate who have passed National written test like UGC/CSIR NET, ICMR for JRF or lectureship with 2years research experience.

 JOB REQUIREMENT :

• To conduct animal experiments and treatment.

• To conduct day-today behavioral observations and data collection.

• Data analysis.

• Computation of data and report writing

AGE LIMIT: 35 Years(Relaxable upto 5 years to SC / ST / OBC, and PH candidates).
