OSCAT-2012
Open Source Drug Discovery (OSDD) is organizing 2nd International conference on open source for computer-aided Translational medicine, at Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, India. This conference will be useful for scientific community working in the field of drug discovery particularly on Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
This conference will be organized in February 2012 (22nd to 25th Feb.). Following are major objectives of this conference
• Promoting open source in therapeutics.
• Role of computer in translational research.
• Integration of in silico & wet-lab experiments.
• Bring wide range of experts (in silico to clinical) on single platform.
• Discuss current status of therapeutics in tuberculosis

Abstract Submission for OSCAT
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Researchers at all levels- students, post-docs, professors and representatives from industry who are seeking publishing opportunities for their respective research area are encouraged to submit abstracts at OSCAT2012. This conference covers all the streams directly or indirectly related to translation research in therapeutics including following streams :
• Open source software and resources
• In Silico design of therapeutics (drug, disease diagnostics & vaccine)
• Experimental research (Biology, Chemistry Medicine & Pharma.) related to translational medicine
• Importance and challenges in translation research
• Integration of theoretical and experimental research
• Designing and discovering of therapeutic molecules against Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Please submit abstract at time of registration , if you are interested to submit abstract to OSCAT2012. Please note, only registered participants can submit abstract. Your abstract will not be included in proceedings of conference if you are not attending conference.
FELLOWSHIP TO ATTEND OSCAT
Fellowships are available for limited number of participants, planning to attend OSCAT2012. We provides financial assistance to young scientists and students who have little or no support from research contracts or grants, and who are presenting their work (oral/poster presentation) as first author in OSCAT2012.
OSDD foundation is providing financial assistance to young researchers and students who contributed or contributing to OSDD significantly who have little or no research grants. OSDD contributors are requested to submit abstract based on their OSDD contribution for oral/poster presentation.
In order to apply for financial assistance, participants should request at time of registration.
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION
In order to register for OCAT2012 conference, first participant should submit their application online at Online Application. Participant will get application ID and Passcode by email that can be used for online registration. If you have got Application ID and Passcode and wish to register, please login using following form.
IMPORTANT
Registration will start from 15th October 2011 from this page. Interested participants are requested to fill Online Application for getting application ID and passcode which is first step for registration.
MODE OF PAYMENT
The registration fee will be paid only in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) payable at Chandigarh, India. You must write Name, Department, and Address of the delegate with signature on the reverse side of the Draft.
