Ph.D. Programme in Life Sciences at the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad
LVPEI is recognized as an off-campus centre for its Ph.D. programme by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
LVPEI has a full-fledged set of research labs in the areas of biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, genetics,microbiology and vision physics. All research work done at the Institute is connected with aspects of the eye, andis done in close collaboration with the in-house ophthalmologistsL V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Hyderabad invite applications from candidates interested in joining the Ph.D. programme in any of the above areas.
ELIGIBILITY: Only candidates with a M.Sc. degree or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks will be considered.
However, for candidates awaiting their results, provisional admission with special permission of the Director may be allowed. While preference is given to those qualified in the UGC/CSIR NET JRF or have other equivalent fellowship like DBT, ICMR, INSPIRE, NBHM, ICAR, etc., others are also encouraged to apply.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Written test, followed by personal interview
