SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
“Accelerating Biology 2012 (Computing to Decipher)” is a 3-Day symposium on current trends in Bioinformatics. The sessions will comprise of invited talks from eminent academicians from esteemed national institutes. The talks will address the challenges in the areas of Next Generation Sequencing technologies, genome analysis, advanced molecular dynamics simulations and algorithm development, High Performance Computing (HPC) and cloud computing. The symposium is targeted at students and researchers from academic institutes, universities and Bioinformatics industries.
· Computational Genomics for Plants and Microbes
· Molecular Modelling and Simulations
· Next Generation Sequencing Technology
· Algorithms, Clusters, Grids, Clouds
· Poster Submission and Young Speaker program
· All registered participants are encouraged to make a poster presentation of their recent research activities and submit an abstract, not exceeding 250 words. The confirmation of poster selection will be notified by 20th January 2012.
· The posters would be evaluated and the best few will be allowed for oral presentation in the “Young Speaker Program”

The registration fee includes symposium kit, breakfast, tea/coffee during breaks, lunches and dinners.
ACCOMMODATION
Shared accommodation will be made available to limited participants on request of additional charge of Rs. 3450/- per person for 4 days 3 nights (15-17, February 2012) on a first come first serve basis at VITS Hotel and the check in time is 14th February 2012 noon and check out is 17th February 2012 noon. Participants who would like to avail accommodation at Hotel VITS should inform us before 15th January 2012. After this date, participants are requested to arrange for their own accommodation.
The symposium will be organized at VITS Hotel, Pune (Adjacent to Chatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex), Pune-Bangalore Highway, Balewadi, Pune – 411 045
