OBJECTIVE: The objective of this programme is to give an exposure about the role of Statistics in
clinical trial covering various issues related to the design, concept of optimality, randomization and inference in clinical trial.
RESOURCE PERSONS: Faculty members from West Bengal State University, Kolkata and host Institution.
PARTICIPANTS: The participants for this programme will be faculty members and research scholars
from Universities / Colleges/ Research Institutes of North-East region. At most 10 participants will be selected from outside Dibrugarh.
ELIGIBILITY: Teachers and Research scholars of the Colleges/Universities and Scientists from Research Institutes North-Eastern states with Statistical background may apply.
PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION: Application on plain paper giving bio-data (including Research / Teaching experience and area of Research, Publications etc.) duly forwarded through Research Supervisor /Principal / Head of the Department / Head of the Institute / Industry, should reach (preferably over email : subrata_dibru@rediffmail.com) Dr. S. Chakraborty, Co-ordinator and Head of
the Department of Statistics, Dibrugarh University latest by 05/11/2011. Please give complete postal address including Telephone Number, Fax Number and e-mail. The selected participants will be communicated through e-mail on or before 10/11/2011.
LODGING: Subject to availability lodging may be provided in the University Guest House only to some out station participants.
