WALK-IN INTERVIEW
A walk-in interview would be held for Research Associate (Two) and Senior Research Fellow (One) for the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), United Kingdom funded collaborative research projects on
1. "Remote integrated systems for controlling nematodes using emerging technology for both resource - poor and commercial farmers" (RISC-NET)
2. "Developing a validation portfolio to exploit key virulence proteins in Fasciola species for parasite control" at the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai-600 007 for 2 years. The post is purely temporary and need based and they should not claim regular employment at a later date.
POST: Research Associate

SALARY:Rs 24000/-+ HRA for Ph.D candidates
RS 23000/-+ HRA for M.Sc candidates
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Veterinary Science / Life Associate month + HRA Sciences or other related disciplines
Or
M.V.Sc. / M.Pharm / M.E., M.Tech month + HRA in Biotechnology / Life Sciences or other related disciplines with two years of teaching / research experience in the related area
POST: Senior Research Fellow
NO.OF POST: 2
SALARY: Rs 18000/-+ HRA
RS 16000/-+ HRA for M.Sc candidates
QUALIFICATIONS: M.V.Sc. in Animal Health subjects / Research month + HRA Animal Biotechnology or other Fellow related disciplines
Or
M.Sc. in Life Sciences or other month + HRA related disciplines
Candidates with OGPA of 3.50 / 4.00 or 8.00 / 10.00 or First Class or equivalent grade / marks are preferred.
Incase of non availability of the candidate for the selection of Research Associate, the suitable candidate with M.V.Sc., in Animal Health subjects /Animal Biotechnology / M.Sc. in Life Sciences or oth,er related disciplines will be selected as Senior Research Fellow and remuneration of SRF will be paid as per ICAR norms.
Filled in application in the prescribed format should be brought along with relevant original certificates and photo identity to the Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Madras Veterinary College, Vepery, Chennai - 600007 on the day of walk-ininterview i.e. on 22.11.2011at 10.30A.M.
A one hour objective type of written test followed by interview would be held on the same day. The applicants already working should bring the No Objection Certificate from their current employer on the day of walk-in interview.
NO TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
