EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited form the intended eligible candidates for following purely temporary Posts under Gauhati University- NTPC Foundation ICT Training Centre in the Department of Disabilities Studies, GU. Appointment against these Posts shall be made on Contractual basis for a period of 6 (Six) months only, which may be extended based on performance till the end of the Project. However, the person may also be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons thereof.
1) POST: INSTRUCTOR (2 Posts)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Post 1: M. Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent, Post 2: M. Sc in any Science discipline with Computer knowledge. The candidates must have good communication skill with personality strength.
EXPERIENCE: Preferably 1 year experience in academic sector.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The instructor appointed against the Post 1 will have to teach the Computer Courses and Post 2 will have to teach science courses to the differently able (disable) students
AGE: Below 37 years as on 01.10.2011.
SALARY: Consolidate Salary of Rs 8,000 per month.
2) POST: Technical Assistant (2 Posts)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Graduation in any stream with special education. Candidates must have good communication skill with the knowledge of Braille and Sign language.
EXPERIENCE: Preferably 1 year working experience in the field of Disability.
AGE: Below 37 years as on 01.10.2011
SALARY: consolidate salary of Rs 5,500 per month.

Applications must be submitted to the Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14 on or before 22nd November, 2011 along with an application fee of Rs 500/- for the Post under Sl No (1) & Rs 100/- for the Posts under Sl No (2) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” from any nationalized Bank. Relaxation regarding Age etc as applicable as per Rules of the University will be followed for SC/ ST/ OBC Candidates. Candidate will be short listed by holding written test/Computer test, as applicable, if required. Only short listed candidates shall be called for the interview. University reserves the right not to fill up the advertised vacancy.
