Vacancy for Statistical Analyst at Division of Quantitative Sciences, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center

The Division of Quantitative Sciences is seeking highly motivated statistical analysts with expertise in biostatistics or bioinformatics. Successful candidates will join a team of biostatisticians and bioinformaticians working on a wide variety of collaborative projects in cancer research. Each position will have a primary focus in biostatistics or bioinformatics.

ELIGIBILITY:

Ø  Master's degree in biostatistics, bioinformatics, statistics, computing or related field

Ø  Working knowledge of Windows and/or UNIX operating systems

Ø  Experience in programming and statistical analysis

Ø  Proficiency in S-PLUS, SAS, Fortran, C or similar software/language

Ø  Excellent communication skills

Ø  Work experience in medical/biomedical research (preferred)

Ø  Experience writing reports and analytical sections of grant applications (preferred)
