POST: Junior Research Fellow
PROJECT TITLE: Structure-function studies on Vibrio cholerae cytolysin, a membrane damaging, pore-forming toxin
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is aimed toward understanding the structure-function relationship of a cytolytic beta-barrel pore-forming toxin produced by the Gram-negative bacteria Vibrio cholerae. We intend to apply diverse methods of biophysics, biochemistry, and cell biology to explore the structure-function mechanism of this Vibrio cholerae cytolysin protein.
