The Department of Biotechnology, V. B. S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur is organizing a National conference: FRONTIERS IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES on December 4-5, 2011.
Dr. Lalji Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi has kindly consented to grace the inaugural function of this conference. The Conference will have plenary and invited lectures, oral and poster presentations on the various themes pertaining to emerging areas of Biological Sciences.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers are invited for the conference for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts up to 250 words must be typed in Times New Roman font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing and submitted electronically to btconference11@yahoo.com  by November, 10, 2011. The Organizing Committee will inform through mail about the acceptance and mode of presentation of the paper to the corresponding author.
ABSTRACT
Abstracts of the invited talks and accepted papers (oral/poster) will be made available to all the participants during the symposium.

JRF(Chick embryonic development) in DST project at JNU, New Delhi

Applicants must have a consistently good academic record with M.Sc  Zoology/Life Sciences or related subject(with at least 55% marks) . NET/GATE qualification and knowledge of technology and concept in molecular Biology desirable. Upper age limit is 28 years. A walk-in-interview will be conducted for contractual appointment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DBT funded project ‘Development of microbial consortium for plant growth promotion and biological control in legumes’ at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on November 28, 2011 at 11.00 AM in the office of the Head, Department of Mycology and Plant Pathology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University.
DURATION: The period of JRF is up to June, 2012.
EMOLUMENTS: Monthly remuneration of Rs.16, 000/- plus HRA
QUALIFICATIONS FOR JRF: M.Sc.(Ag.) in Plant Pathology/Mycology and Plant Pathology/Plant Biotechnology or M.Sc. in Microbiology/Botany/Biotechnology with 55% marks, and NET/GATE qualified.
AGE: Upper age limit is 28 years (5 years relaxation for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates) as on the date of interview. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

6. The decision of the BHU will be final and binding in all aspects.
